Video: Seminar in Sao Paulo explores the ancient foundations and roots of Karate

On May 4th, 2019, we held the Old Style Karate Seminar, in São Paulo/Brazil, taught by Samir Berardo, from Muidokan Karate Kenkyukai, promoted in partnership with Puro Karate blog and sponsored by Associação Karate-Do Tanaka was a sensational Saturday with lots of learning! During both periods (morning and afternoon), Samir sensei presented the foundations of ancient Karate, aimed at self-defense, contextualized by videos and bibliographical references.

The participants were able to do several drills with these fundamentals, in addition to understanding the historical research done by Samir and some of the bunkai practiced by Muidokan, based on this research.

It was great to see practitioners so willingly to deepen their learning and explore Karate, and to integrate and train together in a friendly and open atmosphere. Taekwondo practitioners were also present. The interaction between all these people was something beautiful to see!

We thank all who participated, who questioned and who endeavored to absorb the content with humility and dedication, within the best of the spirit of our martial art!

We invite everyone to continue the conversation and study of the roots of Karate, both in social networks and in the dojos. It is time for all to unite and integrate, for our growth and for our art.
